Biography: Douglas W. Richardson, 60 of Bucyrus passed away on Monday February 27, 2017 at Bucyrus Community Hospital. Doug was born Feb. 6, 1957 in Bucyrus to the late Paul C. and Norma Ruth (Honaker) Richardson. He was married March 8, 1975 to Rhonda E. (Hardymon) Richardson who survives. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Roger and James as well as sister Carolyn Joyce Bursby.
Doug is also survived by daughters Mandy Richardson and fiancé John Van Meter of Bucyrus; Jessica Richardson of Bucyrus; grandchildren Ashley (Dave Patterson) Barber, Andrea Barber, Micheal Barber, Ashton Van Meter, Allie Van Meter, and Sydney Van Meter; great grandchildren Izayah, Aubree, Tyson, and Nevaeh; brother David Richardson, Bucyrus; sisters Mary Alice Tate, Whitehouse, TN and Judy Lynn Davidson, Bucyrus; brother in law Harold Hardymon and sister in law Othella (Joe) Abel; his special pet dog Maggie Mae; and several nieces and nephews.
Doug was a truck driver for various companies. He attended Wynford School and was a Veteran of the U.S. Army. Doug enjoyed working on cars, riding motorcycle, gardening,and his 4-wheeler and riding lawn mower. Most of all Doug enjoyed being with his grandchildren and great grandchildildren.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 11:00 am in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with burial to follow in Brokensword Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Thursday. Expressions of sympathy can be left at munzpirnstill.com
