Dorothy Mae Shaw

Biography:  Dorothy Mae Shaw, 84, went to be with the Lord May 23, 2016. Dorothy was born October 4, 1931 to the late Will and Willie Susan (Centers) Hoskins in Allen County Kentucky. Dorothy is preceded in death by husband Jewell Shaw, parents, brothers Delbert Hoskins, Donnie Hoskins, and Douglas Hoskins; sisters, Janie Centers, Delcie Anderson, and Devener Woodard.

 
Dorothy is survived by daughters, Jessie Patricia Abraham and Martha Susan (Rex) Lawrence; grandkids, Eric Abraham, Kim (Chris) Sutter, Ryan (Rubens) Abraham, Jennifer (Jacob) Howell, Rex (Ellen) Lawrence Jr.; as well as 5 great grandkids and many nieces and nephews.

Dorothy worked with Ekleberrys for 30 years and most recently at Marion General Hospital. She also loved spending time with the grandkids. Dorothy also had quite a green thumb; she loved her garden and had a passion for sewing and quilting. Dorothy was a member at Allen Co. Mt. Union Church.

Visitation will be 4 to 6 pm at Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home Thursday May 26. The funeral will be Friday at 11 am at Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home. Pastor Tim Compton will be officiating services.
