Dorothy E. Gray

Biography:  Dorothy E. Gray, 77 of rural Bucyrus passed away on Saturday August 13, 2016 at the Fairhaven Community following a brief illness.  Dorothy was born March 30, 1939 in Bucyrus to the late Albert and Evelyn (Painter) Gistle.  She was married Feb. 25, 1966 to Richard Gray who preceded her in death on Sept. 29, 2003.  She was also preceded in death by daughter Tina on Jan. 11, 2009 and brother Jim Gistle.
 
Dorothy is survived by sons Doug (Mindy) Gray, Bucyrus and Steve (Jennifer) Gray of Pierre SD; grandchildren Alexander Dale and Jocelyn Anna Marie;  sister Barb Underwood of Wyandot; son in law Jeff Lipstraw of Worthington; and dear friend Michelle Hoover of Bucyrus.
 
Dorothy graduated from Bucyrus High School in 1957 and retired from Timken after working over 30 years.  She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church.  Dorothy enjoyed the holidays and collected Santa Clause’s as well as being an OSU fan, watching kids sports and little league baseball, going to the Amish country, craft shows, and working around the house mowing grass and tending to her flowers.
 
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 pm in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm and on Wednesday from 10:00 am until the time of service.  Memorials may be made to the Wynford Boosters or the Pierre S.D.
