Donna Jean Huffman

Donna Jean Huffman, 71 of Bucyrus passed away on Wednesday March 13, 2024 at the Bucyrus Community Hospital following a sudden illness.   Donna was born May 30, 1952 in Greenville, Ohio to the late A.L. “Bud” and Laura (Harmon) Huffman.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers Roger and Paul Huffman as well as nephew Mark Andrew Linsenmayer.

Donna is survived by her longtime companion James Rhea of Bucyrus; daughters Darla Sprague and Melody (Brandon) Stratton both of Bucyrus; grandchildren Alex, Cory, and Eli Sprague, Adler, Garrus, and Colt Stratton; sisters Sue Linsenmayer of Akron and Jane Hebst of Aurora; nephew Patrick Linsenmayer and niece Katie Parsons.

Donna graduated from Akron Buchtel High School in 1970 and lived in Bucyrus most of her life, moving here 50 years ago.   Donna last worked at Swan Rubber Company in Bucyrus for 35 years.  She was a member of the Bucyrus Methodist Church and enjoyed reading, gardening, crocheting, and her grandchildren.
