Biography: Donald W. Vaughan, 73, of Bucyrus passed away early Thursday morning Feb. 6, 2014 in Bucyrus. Donald was born Nov. 19, 1940 in Bucyrus to the late Max David and Martha A. (Singery) Vaughan. He was married Nov. 29, 1985 to Carolyn (Riedel) Vaughan who survives. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by daughter Krista and brothers Robert E. Vaughan and Max David Vaughan Jr.
Don is also survived by children Stacy (Dan) Bute, Bucyrus; Gary Vaughan, Galion; John (TK) Wagner, Nevada; and Harold (Kristin) Wagner of Hilliard; grandchildren Laci Spears Balster (Matt), Nicholas Vaughan, Katie Vaughan, Gwenyth Bute, Braxton Bute, Adam Stuckert, Mattie Stuckert, Jocelyn, Olyvia, Max, Tessa, and Emma Wagner; great grandchildren Maxton, Colton, Peyton, Marcus, and Aubre.
Donald was a lifelong Bucyrus resident and retired from General Electric in 1996 after 30 years. He was a Bucyrus High School graduate in 1959 and U.S. Army Veteran during Vietnam. Don was a member of the American Legion Post 181, the Eliminators Car Club, and for several years was an avid bowler.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday at 1:00 pm in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral with burial to follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 6-8 pm. In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorials be made to the Hattie Larlham Home or the donor’s choice through the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy can be left at munzpirnstill.com
