Donald James Bush

Biography:  Donald James Bush, 93, of rural Bucyrus, died as a result of cardiac failure on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at Maplecrest Assisted Living.  He was born May 24, 1920 in Ashland, Ohio, son of Henry H. and Mary Ada (Gearhart) Bush.  He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Josephine (Invocato) Bush whom he married on October 19, 1946.  He is also survived by his three sons Daniel (Barbara) Bush of North Canton, Ohio, Thomas (Teresa) Bush and David Bush of Bucyrus; grandchildren Jamie (Scott) Parker, Michael (Danielle) Bush, Ryan, Darren and Emily Bush; great grandchildren Dylan Parker and Liam Bush, and his brother Richard (Joycelyn) Bush.  He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters Elizabeth “Betty” (Franklin) Armstrong and Helen Mae (William) Biglin.


Donald graduated from Bucyrus High School in 1938 and shortly thereafter entered business college in Columbus.  He honorably served in the United States Army during WWII, from 1941-1945.  Upon returning from WWII, he was employed in the accounting department of W.A. Riddle Corp. in Bucyrus.  In 1955, he began working at the Timken Company in Bucyrus where he retired in June 1982.  Donald was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. with Father John Miller as Celebrant.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Maplecrest Assisted Living, 717 Rogers Street, Bucyrus, OH 44820, or through the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home.  Expressions of sympathy may be left at munzpirnstill.com
