Biography: Donald H. Stuckey, 84 of Bucyrus passed away at 10:45 am Tuesday in Altercare of Bucyrus. Don was born May 10, 1928 in Bloomville to the late Lloyd Austin Stuckey and Elva Margret Ann (Kline) Stuckey. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his former wife Martha L. (Fannin) Stuckey, daughter Tonya, and sister Marilla Chapman.
Don is survived by children Linda (Rod) Tomlin and Rick Stuckey both of Bucyrus; grandson Mark (Lisa) Sharp of Bucyrus; great grandchildren Keaton Sharp, Ki and Kris Powell; sister Lillian Crace; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Don was a graduate of Bloomville H.S. in 1947 and was a resident of Bloomville until 1950 when he was drafted into service. He was a Corporal in the U.S. Army from 1950 until 1952 during the Korean War. He moved to Bucyrus following his discharge from the service and worked at Swan Rubber for 39 ½ years, retiring in 1993. Don was a member of the Amvets Post #27 and the VFW Post #1078.
Don enjoyed spending time with his family, Bluegrass Music (especially the festivals at Terry Agins), watching Cleveland Indians and Browns games, cook-outs, and going to Lake Erie. Don enjoyed his neighbors and especially talking with his close friend Shope.
Graveside Services will be held on Friday at 3 pm in Crawford County Memory Gardens with Rev. Dave Bliss officiating. Military ritual services will be provided by the American Legion Post #181 Honor Guard at the grave. Following services, the family invites everyone to join them at the AMVETS Post 27.
