Biography: Derick Clark, 50 of Bucyrus went to be with the Lord on Saturday Sept. 21, 2013 at O.S.U. Hospital, Columbus. “Duke” was born Oct. 28, 1962 to Wayne Clark of Lucas and the late Carol (Miller) Clark. He is survived by children DJ of Bucyrus; Sarah of Galion; and Yazzmine of Alabama; sister Michelle Powers of Bucyrus; 4 grandchildren; nephews Chris (Christy) Rapp; Lyle Rapp; and Terry (Malicia) Rapp; great nephews and a great niece; dear family friend Stephanie Harper; and longtime friends Carl Long and Jeff Miller. Along with his mother he was also preceded in death by his brother-in-law Robin Powers and a dear friend Troy Wade.
Derick served in the U.S. Army as a Chaplain. He had worked at Disneyworld in FL building movie sets and locally at Checkmate and BAJA Boats. Duke’s interest included camping, watching movies, spending time with family, reading the Bible, and ringing the bell for the Salvation Army. He was an avid fan of the O.S.U. Buckeyes.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday at 1:00 pm at the Bucyrus Moose Family Center, with Pastor Dan Rebon officiating. Memorials may be made through the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home and expressions of sympathy can be left at munzpirnstill.com
