Dayanne "Day" Lucius

Dayanne “Day” Lucius, 49, of New Washington passed away on Friday September 29, 2023 at Mansfield Ohio Health Hospital. Dayanne was born on April 29, 1974 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Mark Carpenter and Kathy (Gallant) Knappenberger. She was married to Ben Lucius on September 20, 2002, who survives.

Dayanne is also survived by children Elaina Banks, Kelley (Chris) Lucius, Jeramiah Johnson, Kaytlin (Travis) Carpenter, and Nickayla Lucius; grandchildren Kaydence, Khasen, Lydia, Alec, Estella, Kashton, Kolsyn, and Emburr; sister Maylee Dauchenbaugh and her children Patience and Jaden; as well as her pet cat “Tiggy”.  Dayanne was preceded in death by daughter Amburr Lucius, grandson Lakyn, stepfather John Paul Knappenburger, brother in law Scott, and niece Cassandra.

Dayanne’s world revolved around her grandchildren and her family. She selflessly always put others before herself.  She loved to play Bingo and was an avid Buckeye football fan.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 am in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with burial to follow in Holy Trinity Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm.  Memorials may be made to the Crawford County Humane Society, or the American Kidney Foundation and expressions of sympathy can be left at www.munzpirnstill.com
