Biography: David L. Snavely, 78 of Bucyrus passed away on Saturday December 29, 2018 at Riverside Hospital in Columbus surrounded by his 4 daughters and families. David was born March 30, 1940 in Bucyrus to the late Revie and Martha (Nickler) Snavely. He was married May 10, 1958 to Mary Ann (McCleese) Snavely who preceded him in death on April 13, 2013. He was also preceded in death by one great grandchild Cayman Sparks and 11 siblings.
David is survived by daughters Kathy (Dale) Barker, Lorri (Terry) Sparks, Amie (Doug) Heinlen all of Bucyrus, and Tonya (Derrick Wallace) of Shelby; grandchildren Ryan Dyer, Josh (Heather) Dyer, Matthew (Bobbi) Sparks, Brandon Sparks, Katie (Wes) Dennison, Meghan Heinlen, Kyle (Katie Hoover) Heinlen, Hunter and Carter Charlton, and Zander and Chesney Haubel; 8 great grandchildren and one expected any day; sister Judy Honaker, and numerous nieces and nephews.
David farmed and last worked at Pacal Blades where he retired. He lived his entire life in Bucyrus and enjoyed antique tractors, Ohio State Athletics, camping with the family, and being a Wynford supporter. He was a member of the Cr. Co. Antique Farm Machinery Association.
The family will receive friends at the Victory in Truth Ministries on Thursday Jan. 3, from 1-3 and 5-7 pm. Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 11:00 am in the church with Rev. J.C. Church conducting services and burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The family suggest memorials be made to the Wynford Athletic Boosters or the Cr. Co. Antique Farm Machinery Assoc.
