David L. Foght

Biography:  David L. Foght, 79 of Bucyrus passed away on Wednesday March 28, 2018 at Altercare of Bucyrus following a brief illness.  David was born January 26, 1939 in Sycamore to the late Fred and Clara (Trautman) Foght. He was married March 10, 1960 to Pok Sun “Toni” (Yi) Foght who preceded him in death on Nov. 21, 2010.  David was also preceded in death by son Dana, brothers Fred and Ronald, and sister Alice.

David is survived by sons Mark of Bucyrus; Mike (Marna) of Nevada; and Cliff (Barb) of New Carlisle; grandchildren Ashley, Mathias, Madison, Jordan, Kendl, Mac, Emily, Reagan, Brody, and Hero; 2 step grandchildren Colton and Em; 2 great grandchildren; and three sisters Mable “Liz”, Gloria, and Elizabeth.

David lived his entire life in this area and graduated from Holmes Liberty H.S. in 1958.  He retired from PPG after working 28 years. David enjoyed attending his boys sporting events when they were in school and several years ago enjoyed fishing, hunting, and the outdoors.

The family will receive friends at the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home on Saturday from 12:00 noon until 2:00 pm.  Private graveside services will be held for the family in Brokensword Cemetery.
