Damon Lumpkins

Damon Lewis Lumpkins, age 72, passed away at home February 26, 2024. Damon was born to the late David Lumpkins and Ramona (O’Hara) Lumpkins on November 2, 1951 in Marion Ohio. Damon is preceded in death by his parents and wife Suzanne Lumpkins. Damon is survived by sister, Sharon Patterson and close friend Kayleen (Keith) Klier.

Damon played cymbals in the Marion Cadets Drum and Bugle Corp in the late 60's. He worked as a mechanic for many years and spent the last years of his career as a Snap on Tool dealer. He enjoyed racing cars, watching care races, the ohio state buckeyes and other sports. He enjoyed being a part of the Weimaraner club of Columbus and Weimaraner club of America. Damon and Suzanne had been very involved with showing and breeding dogs (Weimaraners, German Shorthair pointers and Mini Dachshunds) for over 30 years. Damon has left behind many, many friends from the shows who will miss his ready smile, his jokes and willingness to lend a hand.

There will be a Celebration of Life for friends and family to gather and recollect the good times at Old 30 BBQ on 3/23/24 1-4 pm. Memorials may be made to the Weimaraner club of America or the Take the Lead organization. Moments of remembrance may be left online at www.munzpirnstill.com
