Craig D. McCombs

Craig D. McCombs died April 8, 2023 holding his wife's hand after a nearly 3 year battle with cancer.  Craig was born August 20, 1949 in Bucyrus to the late William and Janis (Beattie) McCombs.  He was married May 12, 2007 to Pamela (Anthony) McCombs who survives along with 3 children, Roni (Mike) Bloomfield, Chad (Tracee) McCombs, and Shelly McCombs; 2 step children, Brian (Ashley Riley) Auck and Ashley (Shaun) Knecht; 15 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; sister Diane Smith; father and mother in law Albert and Sara Anthony; sister in law Sheila Pritchard; brother in law Roger Anthony; as well as several nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother in law Jack Smith and best dog Chloe.

Craig graduated from Bucyrus High School in 1967 and served 2 years in Vietnam.  He retired from Timken after 36 years, mostly in the Distribution Center.

Craig enjoyed grilling out, gardening, nature walks, time spent with family and all animals, and his daily chocolate shake and encouraging words from the crew at UDF.  Prior to the COVID and Craig's cancer, he enjoyed meeting the D.C. guys for breakfast. 

A Graveside Service will be held on Friday at 11:00 in the Oakwood Cemetery with Rev. Carl Angel officiating.  The family suggests memorials be made to the Wyandot or Crawford County Humane Societies and expressions of sympathy can be left at www.munzpirnstill.com
