Biography: Clyde Eugene McCleese Sr., age 72, passed away after battling an extensive illness. Clyde was born in Harpster Oh to the late Ora McCleese and Anna (Jordan) McCleese Bloomfield. Clyde has been married 53 years to Joyce (Heckert) McCleese since October 20, 1962. Clyde is preceded in death by his parents.
Clyde is survived by; wife, Joyce McCleese; children, Vicky (Rick) Wilson, Clyde Jr (Gina) McCleese, Mona (Carl) Stuckman, and Joe (Tori) McCleese; step-father, Marvin Bloomfield; sisters, Libby Coldiron, Sue (Larry) Riley, and Tina (Leroy) Eidson; brothers, Jerry (Debbie) McCleese and Wayne Bloomfield; son-in-law, Mark Ely; grandchildren, Rocky (Bobbie), Josh (Candy), Ryan (Kelly), Stacy (Brandon), Kelly, Zach, Kristen (Austin), Ozzy, Amber, Shelby (Isaak); as well as many nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren.
Clyde worked at Crawford Nursery for many years before becoming part owner of TJS Auto Sales in Bucyrus. Clyde devoted many years to hunting and playing poker, some of his favorite pastimes. Clyde lived in Kentucky after he was born up until he was four and then he moved to Sugar Grove and Bucyrus area until his passing. Clyde served his country with the U.S. Army from 1960-1962. He loved watching sports on TV, his favorite teams being The Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland's Indians, Cavaliers, and Browns. Clyde also loved spending time with his family anytime he got the chance.
