Biography: Clyde Bloomfield, 88, of rural Galion passed away at 5:30 pm Wednesday at his home, he had been ill since 2013. Clyde was born March 9, 1926 in Thor, Kentucky to the late James Ruben and Mary Susan (Edington) Bloomfield. He as married Dec. 17, 1949 to Lillie Lenor (Dyer) Bloomfield who survives. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by son William McKinley Bloomfield; two brothers Roy and Kelly Bloomfield; and 4 sisters Ola Nolan, Myrtle Howard, Jessie Logan, and Flossie Bryant.
Clyde is also survived by children Cary (Kathy) Bloomfield, Galion; James (Nancy) Bloomfield, Bucyrus; Harold (Anita) Bloomfield, Nevada; Suzann (Ronnie) Ray, Oceola; Mickey (Tami) Bloomfield, Marion; Mary Jane (Dean) Damron, Bucyrus; Aneita Starr (Steve) Miller, Bucyrus; 19 grandchildren; and 27 great grandchildren.
Mr. Bloomfield moved to this area in 1957 and last worked at Cobey’s, he enjoyed building bird houses and gardening.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday at 11:00 am in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Jobe officiating, burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1-4 pm and one hour prior to the service on Monday.
