Clifford Gene "Molly" Mollenkopf

Biography:  Clifford Gene “Molly” Mollenkopf, 78, of Bucyrus passed away on Tuesday May 5, 2015 in Bucyrus Community Hospital following a brief illness.  Gene was born January 11, 1937 in Galion and was married Feb. 16, 1957 to Judy (Berry) Mollenkopf who survives.  He was preceded in death by his father Clifford Mollenkopf; mother and step father Roma (Bash) and Elmer Todd; and son Brian Mollenkopf.
 
Gene is survived by children Berry J. (Kim) of Acworth, GA; Bruce; Brenda (Kenny Brown); and Beth (Tim) Stoneburner all of Bucyrus; grandchildren Jennifer, Stephanie, Tyson, Tiffany, Thomas, Kelvin, Nash, and Michaeline; great grandchildren Makayla, Carson, Riley, Bailee, Hunter, Peyton, and Giovanni; and his pet dog “Buster”.
 
Cliff served as Captain in the Bucyrus Fire Dept and retired in 1992 after 32 years.  For several years he also helped the Schiefer’s with farming.  He graduated from Bucyrus High School in 1955 and served in the U.S. Navy.  Clifford was very active in the Bucyrus Train Club and enjoyed hunting, his family, friends, and “Buster”.  He was also a member of Bucyrus Moose Lodge #669 and Bucyrus United Methodist Church.
 
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday April 9, 2015 in the Bucyrus Fire Station at 3:00 pm. The family will receive friends at the station from 1:00 pm until the time of service.  Burial will be in Oceola Cemetery and memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation.  Expressions of sympathy can be left at munzpirnstill.com
