Clara Marie Baird

Clara Marie Baird, 89 of Bucyrus passed away on Wednesday June 7, 2023 at Altercare of Bucyrus.  Clara was born April 21, 1934 in New Haven, OH to the late Perry and Minnie (Robey) DeWitt.  She was married June 21, 1953 to Richard “Dickie Bird” Baird who passed away July 28, 2019.  She was also preceded in death by one sister Margene Robinson and one brother Carl DeWitt.

Clara is survived by son Timothy Ray (Cathy) Baird of Bucyrus, granddaughter Ashley “Mandy” Baird of North Robinson, sister Delores Batesole, and sister-in-law Marilyn Lowmiller.

Clara was a homemaker and graduated High School in New Haven.  She was American Legion Post 181 ladies Auxiliary Past President and enjoyed working in her flower garden, playing euchre, and tending to her cat “Midnight”.

A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday June 17, 2023 at 12:00 noon in the Oakwood Cemetery with Nick Cline officiating.  The family suggests memorials be made to the Crawford County Humane Society and expressions of sympathy can be left at www.munzpirnstill.com. The family would also like to thank Dr. Rebecca Strickland and the staff of Altercare, as well as Gentiva Hospice.
