Cherie R. Persson

Biography: Cherie R. Persson, 83 of Bucyrus passed away at her home in Bucyrus. Cherie was born April 9, 1935 in Bucyrus to the late Albert Rogers and Marian (Sawyer) Ernst. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Peter Persson.


Cherie is survived by daughter Yasha Persson and her husband Robert Gordon of Indianapolis, IN; Sandra (Bart) Fernelius of California and 4 grandchildren Hubol, Hillary, Amanda, and Morgan.


Cherie was a graduate of Bucyrus High School in 1953 and lived most of her life in Bucyrus as well as Florida and Hawaii. She did her undergraduate studies in English Literature at Ohio State University and the University of Hawaii and received her Masters Degree in English from the University of Hawaii. Cherie was a Public School Teacher in Hawaii.
