Biography: Charlie W. Ramsey, 64, longtime Bucyrus resident and most recently of Mansfield died on Friday June 6, 2014 at Med Central Mansfield. Charlie was born Sept. 17, 1949 in Jamestown, TN to the late Glen “Red” Ramsey and Rella (Hicks) Ramsey. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by stillborn son Cory; infant son Jonathon; sister Glenna Hampton; and brother Brian Ramsey.
Charlie is survived by wife Debra (Mayer) Ramsey of Mansfield; children Ginger Schlumberger; Jeffrey Ramsey; Jason Ramsey; Glen Ramsey; Matthew Ramsey all of Mansfield; and Kayla Ramsey of Bucyrus; 6 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; brothers Mark and Terry; and sisters Jennifer Howard and Linda Burris.
Mr. Ramsey was retired from the Railroad and lived most of his life in this area.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 am at Prevailing Word Ministries with Rev. Bernie France officiating. The Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
