Biography:
Charles R. Steele, 75 of Bucyrus passed away on Monday October 23, 2017 at Bucyrus Community Hospital. Charles was born Sept. 4, 1942 in Bucyrus to the late Nelson Steele Jr. and Elnora Josephine (Young) Steele.
Charles is survived by brother Michael A. (Dori) Steele of Ridgeway, SC; sisters Margaret and Susie Jo Steele both of Bucyrus and aunt Mary Lou Shearer of Bucyrus.
Charles was owner and operator of Steele’s on Hopley Avenue for many years starting work in the business at a young age. He graduated from Bucyrus High School in 1960 and was very active in the Crawford County Conservation League as President for several years.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 am in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with Bishop Ted Thomas officiating, burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Memorials may be made to the Conservation League and expressions of sympathy can be left at www.munzpirnstill.com
