Charles Arthur Bosworth Jr., 70 of Nevada, Ohio passed away on Friday December 27, 2024 at the Kobacker House in Columbus receiving hospice care in a serene setting surrounded by nature. In his final days he enjoyed visiting with family and friends, recalling a lifetime of memories, and final sunsets and a sunrise before meeting Jesus. Chuck was born April 18, 1954 in Bucyrus to the late Charles Arthur Bosworth Sr. and Geraldine (Corwin) Bosworth. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother Douglas A. Bosworth.
Chuck was married to his High School sweetheart Sandra Kay (Croneis) Bosworth on March 22, 1975 who survives along with two children; Christine Lynn (Bosworth) Heid and husband Nathan E. Heid and Scott Arthur Bosworth and wife BethAnn (Fisher) Bosworth; brothers James, Ronald, and Donald Bosworth; nieces and nephews Elaine Bosworth, Amanda (Bosworth) Schock and husband Jimmy Schock; as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Chuck graduated from Wynford High School in 1972. While in High School Chuck started as a carryout of a local grocery store and worked his way up to become one of the youngest store managers in the company’s history. Chuck enjoyed hauling stone and making new friends throughout the community since 1983. He hauled his last load of topsoil in August 2024. Following 32 years in the grocery business, Chuck partnered with his brother in a successful construction company.
Chuck had a quiet faith and was a steward of the land with an emphasis on his quality of work and attention to detail. He was known for his strength and determination that he passed along to his children. Above all, he was a devoted husband and loving father. Chuck and Sandy hosted many family gatherings, enjoying games and togetherness with family and friends in the house he built brick by brick.
The family will receive friends at the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home on Monday from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday in the funeral home at 11:30 am with burial to follow at Crawford County Memory Gardens.Memorial contributions may be made to the Kobacker House or the James Fund for Life at the Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center.
