Biography: Carolyn Ann Lewis, 76 of Bucyrus passed away Friday, January 18, 2019 at Altercare of Bucyrus. Carolyn was born July 27, 1942 in Galion, OH to the late Clarence and Myrtle E. Beach. She was married June 17, 1991 to Darrell Lewis, who preceded her in death February 15, 2017. She was also preceded in death by brother Jon Beach and son Samuel Koch II.
Carolyn is survived by daughters Kerrie (Joseph) Sheaffer of Florida ; Nina (Kevin) Assenheimer of Bucyrus; son Stephen (Jena) Koch of California; Stepchildren David (Suzanne) Lewis of Michigan and Lisa (David) Pfleiderer of Bucyrus; grandchildren Bethanie Sheaffer. Kasie Sheaffer, Nate Assenheimer, Madelyn Assenheimer, Kylie Groves, Danny Koch, Savannah Schuller, Samuel Koch III, Brooke Koch, Jacob Lewis, Jarrod Pfeiffer, Jayson Pfeiffer, and Jenna Pfeiffer; 6 great grandchildren; brothers Daniel (Shelly) Beach and David (Suzanna) Beach; and sister Linda (Douglas) Smith; a dear niece, Betsianne Beach, who gave extra love and attention to her aunt for the past two years; and several other beloved nieces and nephews.
Carolyn worked at ITT Power Assistance and Retired from Job and Family Services. Carolyn was also a Aide at with the Bucyrus City Schools where all the children called her grandma. Carolyn loved people and accepted them for who they were. She enjoyed attending and teaching Bible studies. She embraced life and had a terrific sense of humor. Carolyn enjoyed traveling to many places such as Virginia, Colorado, Hawaii, Italy, and Germany. She was just as happy to sit at home holding her husband, Darrell's, hand, watching Jeopardy or Judge Judy. Carolyn was always ready to have fun and was the life of the party. She will be missed by all who knew her and loved her. Her family finds comfort in knowing she is in Heaven watching over all the people she loved so much.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday Jan. 26 at 2:00 pm at in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with Ray Lasalle officiating, burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 12 noon until the time of the service. Appreciation noted for the staff at Altercare of Bucyrus, Speret Hall and to Southern Care Hospice for their kindness and loving care.
