Biography: Carol J. Blankenship, 75 of Bucyrus passed away on Monday December 21, 2020 at Wyandot Memorial Hospital, Upper Sandusky, OH. Carol was born November 6, 1945 in Bucyrus to the late Howard N. and Margaret D. (Windbigler) Albright. Carol graduated from Bucyrus High School in 1963. She married her High School sweetheart Junior Blankenship on June 29, 1963. They celebrated 49 years of marriage until his death in 2012.
Carol was a kind sweet soul who will be remembered for being a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She loved being with family for holidays, birthdays, and campfires. Carol enjoyed Bingo, crafts, playing cards, and listening to music. She will be remembered for always having a smile on her face. Carol was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ.
Carol is survived by daughter Sherri (Gene) Motter; grandson Justin Motter; sister Ruth Kalb; and nieces and nephews John and Sherry Kintz, Angie and Matt Edgington; great nieces and nephews Josh and Miranda Kintz and Alisha and Austin Edgington. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brother Jim Albright and brother in law Jim Kalb.
There will be a private family service and burial at Oakwood Cemetery on Saturday December 26th with Gary Schiefer officiating.
