Biography: Carol D. Mullins, 71 of Columbus passed away on Saturday March 5, 2016 at the home of her sister in New Washington surrounded by family and her two canine companions, “Daisy” and Honey Bear”. Carol was born December 27, 1944 in New Washington to the late Luther W. and Eunice A. (Siefert) Long. She was married Oct. 29, 1994 to John Mullins who preceded her in death on Feb. 26, 1999. She was also preceded in death by brother in law William Nolan.
Carol is survived by sisters Janet Nolan of Boca Raton, FL and Marilyn Long of New Washington; nephews James (Lisa) Nolan of Winder, GA and Jonathan (Nicole) Nolan of Orlando; great nieces and nephews Aleisha, Gabriella, Christian, and Jordan.
Carol graduated from Buckeye Central H.S. in 1962. She moved to Columbus in 1994 and retired from the State of Ohio Division of Workers Compensation as Chief Claims Examiner. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Ridgeton Rd. and was a strong supporter of North Shore Animal League.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 11:00 am in the St. Paul Lutheran Church, Ridgeton Rd. with a luncheon to immediately follow the service. Burial will take place in St. John Lutheran Cemetery, New Washington following the luncheon. The family will receive friends at the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home on Thursday from 4-7 pm.
