Biography: Carol Ann Miers died on January 28, 2022. She was born in Bucyrus, Ohio (Crawford County) on February 4, 1942, to Henry and Hazel Rossman. She was a 1961 graduate of Colonel Crawford High School. She married William E. (Bill) Miers on August 3, 1969 who preceded her in death on June 9, 2000.
Carol worked at General Electric for 36 years starting in 1961, retiring in 1997. She loved going out to eat with her G.E. retiree friends and spending time with the Red Hat Ladies. She loved cooking and baking and was often known to whip up dozens of cookies for social events and community organizations. Some of her favorite memories came from time at Lake Erie boating and enjoying friends and family at a favorite campground. Carol and her sister, Ilene, were a team and loved traveling, trying new restaurants, making their own fun, and making people happy. She loved driving her convertible, holidays, earrings that light up, Pomeranian dogs, and could light up a room with her laugh. She was a member of Good Hope Lutheran Church.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents and husband. She is survived by her sister, Ilene Osborn, and numerous nieces, nephews, and more cousins than we can count.
Friends and family may call at Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home, 215 N. Walnut Street in Bucyrus on Tuesday from 11:00 am until the time of the service at 1:00 pm with Pastor Tanyce J.
