Brenda L. Marquis

Brenda L. Marquis, 72 of Bucyrus passed away on Sunday January 28, 2024 at Avita Bucyrus emergency room, her death was unexpected.   Brenda was born April 23, 1951 in Bucyrus to the late Milton and Gloria (Swanson) Carrick.  She was married June 14, 1988 to Ted Marquis who preceded her in death on September 27, 2005.

Brenda is survived by son Jason Cross and daughter Shawna Holman both of Bucyrus; grandchildren Makayla Vanover, Taylor Myers, Aniyah Johnson, Tristan Cross, and Jaxon Cross; great grandchildren Ivory and Iyla Woodley, and Greyson Vanover; and one brother Mark Carrick of California.

Brenda lived her entire life in Bucyrus and graduated from Colonel Crawford High School in 1970.  She retired from General Electric after working for several years. Brenda enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and family as well as her pet cats and dog “Brutus”. She also loved going to Florida in the winter with her mom, Gloria.
