Brenda Luan Hansford

Biography:  On March 17, 2018 Brenda Luan Hansford lost her battle with cancer after putting up a hard fight.  Brenda was born June 24, 1957 in Bucyrus to the late Lester Eckstein and Lil  Ridgaway.  In addition to her parents she will be re-united with husband Curt Hansford, son Shane Corns, and her step mother Georgia Kelso.  Brenda leaves behind her daughter Shantah (Shon) Fry, 5 step children, 17 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 2 adopted sisters.

This past year was filled with endless Doctor appointments, tests, scans, chemotherapy, radiation, cocktails and different medication for Brenda, even up to the end her determination was astonishing.  In her mind she did not have lung cancer.  Brenda was going to keep shopping, and visiting with friends and family.  When she wasn't doing this she enjoyed playing chinese checkers, playing with the barn cats, and spending time with the grandkids, you would never know she had cancer.

Brenda lived her entire life in the Bucyrus area and graduated from Wynford High School in 1975. 

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 am in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with Bishop Ted Thomas officiating, burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery next to Shane.  The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm.  The family suggests that visitors coming for the funeral wear pearls to represent Lung Cancer Awareness.  Memorials may be made to the donor's choice and expressions of sympathy can be left at www.munzpirnstill.com
