Biography: Brad Bammerlin, 52, of Bucyrus passed away on Friday March 14, 2014 at 4:26 pm in Grant Medical Center, Columbus. He was surrounded by his family and died peacefully following a brief illness. Brad was born Dec. 23, 1961 in Mansfield to the late John L. Bammerlin and Dixie (Cline) Bammerlin who survives in Mansfield.
Brad was married to Rebecca (Graves) Iery who survives along with his daughter Kayla Rebecca Bammerlin of Worthington; Rebecca’s children, Stacy Mahley, Brandy Nauman, and Amanda Nagel, along with their children Kaleb, Haley, Jessica, Zyan, Sean, Jacklyn, and Emmerson; brothers Greg (Jayma) Bammerlin of Alexandria, OH and Chris Bammerlin of Laramie, WY; sister Lori (Fred) Callahan of Sunbury; niece Melanie Callahan and two nephews Rex and Bryce Bammerlin.
Brad graduated from Mansfield Madison Senior High in 1980 and served 5 years in the U.S. Air Force. Following his service, Brad graduated from Akron University. For the past 15 years Brad has been the Dept. Manager of Environmental Services and Laundry at Heartland of Bucyrus.
Brad was a sports fan of the Indians, Browns, Buckeyes and Mid Ohio Sport Car Racing. He especially enjoyed golfing with his brother Greg and participating in sports activities with his daughter Kayla as she was growing up.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday March 22, 2014 at 3:00 pm in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 pm until the time of service.
