Biography: Bonnie Jo Rinker, our dearest wife and mother went to be with the Lord on January 1, 2014 after a long, courageous battle with cancer. As an only child, she was born on May 1, 1945 to Drenna Jean and Clifton Thurman, both deceased.
In 1967 she married Raymond Heinlen and they had three children.
She is survived by her loving husband James, who she married on June 5, 1993. Bonnie is also survived by four children, Ryan Edward (Andrea) Heinlen of Henderson, NV; Rami Jo (Clifford) Beck III of Bucyrus, OH; Adam Raymond Heinlen of Bucyrus, OH; and Terra Marie (Jason) Cashen of Westminster, MD. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Averee, Aydan, and Aspen Heinlen of Henderson, NV; Sarah Rose, Sophia Jo, and Isaac Clifford Beck of Bucyrus, OH; and Ava Grace Cashen of Westminster, MD.
Bonnie is preceded in death by Donna Rinker, mother-in-law and James Kisling, brother-in-law.
Bonnie is retired from Crawford County Jobs and Family Services, Child Support Enforcement where she was a case manager. She spent over 30 years serving in the law enforcement field in Crawford County. She served as a dispatcher and was the first woman Special Deputy for the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office and most recently a Bucyrus City Police Auxiliary Unit since 1993. She completed the Ohio Peace Officer Basic Training Program in 1972. Bonnie was also involved in the Bucyrus Bratwurst Festival for many years as the emcee of the opening ceremonies and as the Entertainment Chairman. Her greatest love outside of God and her family was her love of the farm where she and Jim lived and worked together.
Calling hours will be on Sunday, January 5, 2014 with the family receiving friends from 2-4 and 6-8 pm in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 6, 2014 at 11 am in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with Rev. Don Neuman and Rev. Mike Corwin officiating, burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society or the Relay for Life through the funeral home.
