Biography: Bobby J. Groves, 73, of Sandusky passed away on Sunday in the Ohio Veterans Home. Bobby was born May 28, 1940 in Franklin, KY to the late Otis and Alma Groves. He was married Feb. 14, 1992 to Kathryn (Angel) Groves who preceded him in death on March 21, 2006.
Bobby is survived by children and grandchildren; step daughter Lana Dunson of Marblehead, OH; 3 step grandchildren, Shawn, Brett, and Jennifer Lishego Dunson; 2 step great grandchildren Arianna and Liliana Dunson; brothers Jackie Groves of Bucyrus and Lee Groves of TN; one sister and nieces and nephews in Bucyrus area.
Bobby moved from Bucyrus to Sandusky in 2000. He was a Paratrooper during the Vietnam War. Bobby loved camping, cooking, especially his homemade chili, and was a big NASCAR fan. For several years he and Kathy camped at Walnut Grove Campground in Tiffin.
Memorial Services will be held on Monday at 7:00 pm in the Oceola Penticostal Church with Rev. Carl Angel officiating, burial will be private. The family suggests memorials be made through the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home and expressions of sympathy can be left at munzpirnstill.com
