Biography: Bob Massey, 63 of Bucyrus passed away on Thursday September7, 2017 at the Cleveland Clinic due to complications from surgery. Bob was born June 27, 1954 in Bucyrus to the late Charles Robert Massey Sr. and the former Lillian M. Hunter. He was married Nov. 29, 1975 to Donna (Reidlinger) Massey. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brother Steve and brother in law Bob Reidlinger.
Bob is also survived by children Amy (Steve) Libby of Hudson, OH and B.J. (Jenny) Massey of Bucyrus; grandchildren Danielle Libby and Madison "Maddie" Libby and Alyssa and Gage Massey; uncles and aunts Carl and Marilyn, George and Barb, Albert and Barb; Sister in laws Carol (Jim) Lanker, Teresa (Bud) McCarthy; nieces Katie and Jimmy Lanker, Josh, Brad, and Trevor McCarthy, and Suzie Bratton; his pet dog "Buddy"; and many close friends and family.
Bob took over Massey Auto Wrecking following his father's death and in 1985 moved to Bucyrus where he started Riverside Auto Sales. Riverside Auto Sales remained in Bucyrus on North Sandusky Ave. until 2004 when the business was moved to Lincoln Highway. Bob lived his entire life in Bucyrus, attended Wynford School and was a member of the Moose Lodge and Sons of the American Legion.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 am in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Corwin officiating, burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Memorials may be made to the Cr. Co. Humane Society or the Diabetes Foundation.
