Billy Junior Spence

Biography:  Billy Junior Spence, 74, most recently of Welch WV and formerly of Bucyrus passed away on Saturday May 24, 2014 in Charleston W. Virginia.  He was in failing health and seriously ill the last 6 weeks.   Billy was born August 29, 1939 in Raycel, WV to the late Ransom and Erma (Bloomer) Spence.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother Jimmy Spence and sister Nina R. Stafford.
 
Billy is survived by four sons, Wayne (Lori) Spence of Cincinnati, OH; Michael of Chesapeake, VA; Donald (Madesta) Spence of Lexington, OH; Jeffrey (Inja) Spence of Chesapeake, VA; 5 grandchildren, Krista (Spence) Geiger, Cincinnati, OH; Jeffrey Spence, Chesapeake, VA; Ashley (Spence) Kuhn, Cincinnati; Jennifer (Spence) Turner, and Joshua Spence both of Chesapeake; great granddaughter Myla Irene Geiger; brothers Bobby (Norma) Spence and David Spence both of Bucyrus; sisters, Betty (Fred) Welge, Bucyrus; Brenda Fried, Bucyrus; Sherry Black of Marion; as well as several nieces, nephews, and other family members.
 
Billy retired from General Motors after 28 years and loved the outdoors where he enjoyed fishing and hunting.
 
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday at 1:00 pm in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Hager officiating, burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 12 noon until the time of service.  Memorials may be given to Gideons and expressions of sympathy can be left at munzpirnstill.com
