Betty Virginia Beaver Kaler

December 31, 1969 — April 13, 2015

Biography:  Betty Virginia Beaver Kaler, passed away peacefully in her sleep April 9, 2015 with family present. 

She was born to the late Mike and Ruth (McDaniell) Beaver, March 18, 1924  in Shelby, Ohio. Betty graduated from Shelby High School 1942.  She married Eugene M. Kaler of Tiro, Ohio,February 3, 1945 in Fresno, California. After the war they built a house and resided in Shelby, Ohio until being transferred to Mobile, Alabama in 1958.  She lived in Mobile until 1962 when they were transferred back to Columbus, Ohio area where they resided.

She was a member of the First Christian Church of Shelby, Ohio.  She was also a past member of the  Eastern Stars, Shelby Chapter. Retiree of Lazarus at Eastland in Columbus.
She always enjoyed spending time with her daughters and their spouses, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Her pleasures were camping with the family, square dancing, ballroom dancing, being a “Snowbird” in Holiday Fl for over 30 years, sewing, reading, crafts, cards and a collection of many friends.
Betty is survived by two daughters:  Vicki (Ken) Leuthold of Spencer, Oh, Rebecca (Jeff) Anderson of Dublin, Oh.  She is survived by four grandchildren: Michele Leuthold, Medina Oh, Jill (Kirk) Cekada, Medina Oh, Ryan (Megan) Anderson, Pasadena, CA, Emily (Shaun Mills) Anderson Ashville, Oh. She has three great-grandchildren: Paige Cekada, Jacob Cekada, and Elena Mills. She has many nieces and nephews. 

She is preceded in death by her husband Gene along with two granddaughters Julie Leuthold and Kate Anderson. 

The viewing will be 9:30am and service will be held at 10:30am Thursday April 16, 2015 at Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home in Bucyrus, Ohio with Gene Luidhardt S.A.M. Burial will be held immediately after the service at Biddle Cemetery Tiro, Ohio.and a luncheon will follow at Epworth Methodist Church on Hopley Avenue Bucyrus.  Memorials may be made to Kids in Kamp or Make a Wish Foundation and expressions of sympathy can be left at munzpirnstill.com
