Betty Jane Rule

Biography:  Heaven received the most precious angel
Betty Jane Rule, 88, of Bucyrus passed away at Bucyrus Community Hospital on Saturday evening, November 2, 2013; she had been failing in health.  Betty was born December 25, 1924 in Tiro to parents, William and Tula (Shaw) Nickelson who preceded her in death.  She is also preceded in death by brothers, Frank and Robert Nickelson and sisters, Mildred Lambing and Edith Ginter.  She married Thomas Rule on August 10, 1942 who preceded her in death on September 3, 1988. 
Betty is survived by her four living and devoted children, Tom Rule, Chris and Joy (Rule) Treadway, Carl and Vicky (Swick) Rule, and Garry and Cathy (Rule) Stinehelfer.  She also had 6 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 2 great – great grandchildren. 
Betty was a longtime homemaker.  Before her health issues, she loved her family gatherings, especially at Christmas.  She also enjoyed her cooking, baking, planting flowers, reading, cross word puzzles, getting her hair done, and going out to eat
Services will be held on Wednesday November 6, 2013 at 1 pm in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with Gene Luidhardt S.A.M. officiating, burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 12 – 1 pm.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation, the American Kidney Foundation, or the American Diabetes Foundations through the funeral home.
