Betty F. Surgener

Biography:  Betty F. Surgener, 75, of Bucyrus passed away on Thursday evening in Bucyrus Community Hospital following a brief illness, her death was unexpected. She was born Jan. 31, 1941 in Smith Kentucky to the late Joe and Emma Jean (Green) Short. Betty is survived by her husband of 58 years, Rev. Earnest Surgener.

 
Also surviving are children, Richard (Tracy) Surgener of Worthington, Ohio, Terry (Shelly) Surgener of Franklin, Tennessee, and Chester (Diana) Surgener of Lexington, Ohio; Grandchildren, Jessica, Lana, Stephanie, Shaun, Josh, Bryan, and Brittany; Great Grandchildren, Emma, and Cayden; Brothers, Wendell (Charlene) Short of Galion, Ohio, and Jimmy (Trish) Short of Kentucky.
Betty was a special lady to many especially her husband. She was not only a homemaker but a Pastor's Wife for 42 years. She was a member of the Bucyrus Church of God where as a Pastor's Wife she worked with the ladies Auxiliary, She was a craft maker and she enjoyed crafts at the church.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 4-7 pm in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home. Services will be held on Tuesday at 11am in the Bucyrus Church of God , 1304 Woodlawn Ave. Bucyrus, Ohio.
Memorials may be made in her memory to the church through the funeral home or given at the church.
