Barbara Jean Massey

Barbara “Barb” Jean Massey, 79, passed away October 6, 2023, at Legacy of Bucyrus. Barb was born to the late James Kirkham and Virginia (Hewitt) Lee April 24, 1944, in Bucyrus Ohio. Barb married January 18, 1986, to Albert Massey. Barb is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Sonya Johnson; brother, James Kirkham Sr.; sister, Sue Baldwin. 

Barb is survived by husband Albert Massey; children, Sheila Hart, Serena Locke, and Eric Johnson; grandchildren, Adam (Christina) Brown, Trina (Todd Diekmann) Hayward, Willis (Yvonne Ramage) Clary, Joshua (Kailah) Hildebrand, Justin (Jeri) Locke, Starla Johnson, Caleb Brown, Amanda Johnson, and Sarah Lewis, as well as several stepchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. 

Barb was a graduate of Bucyrus Highschool. She enjoyed simple things in life like casino trips, going to flea markets, and even had been in a bowling league for several years. She loved spending time with her family and collecting owls.  

The family will be receiving friends at Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home from 11AM-1PM Tuesday, October 10th. The Funeral will follow visiting hours at 1PM. Burial to follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Alzheimer’s Association.
