Biography: Barbara A. Rossman, 82 of Bucyrus passed away on Friday evening at Grant Medical Center in Columbus. Barbara was born July 2, 1934 in Bucyrus to the late Lewis and Leola (Luke) Boudinot. She was married Sept. 25, 1953 to Gene A. Rossman who preceded her in death on Feb. 22, 2009. She was also preceded in death by sister Nancy DuPont; brothers Gilbert and John Boudinot; and grandson Shane.
Barbara is survived by children Doug (Diane) Rossman; Darla (Tom) Wade; Deborah (Mark Charlton) Rossman all of Bucyrus; grandchildren Benjamin and Brent (Kate Brinkner) Rossman; Michael (Casey Dyer) Wade and Richard (Sherry Conn) Wade; Zackery (Kira Kelley) Holbrook; one great grandchild Lucas Rossman; sister in law Joan Boudinot; brother in law Ken DuPont; brother and sister in laws Burton and Bernitta Rossman and Dexter and Helen Rossman; special extended family Louanne Holman and Marjorie Boudinot; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Barbara was a homemaker and primary care giver as well as a foster mother of over 20 children and babysitter. She lived her entire life in the community and graduated from Sulphur Springs H.S. in 1952. She was a lifelong member of Good Hope Lutheran Church. Barbara enjoyed bird watching, lighthouses, outdoor work, camping and the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 am in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with Pastor Renee Ahern and Gene Luidhardt S.A.M. officiating, burial will follow in Crawford County Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Good Hope Lutheran Church Radio or Steeple Funds.
