Biography: Barbara A. Hayes “Bobbie”, age 78, passed away surrounded by family Sunday, August 13th. She was born to the late Gerald and Elsie (Hancock) Cox November 16, 1938 in Bucyrus, OH. Barbara was married to Estel O. Hayes whom preceded her in death in 1989. She is also preceded by son, Leonard Wayne Hayes; daughter, Etta Johnson, 7 brothers, 4 sisters, as well as special friends Harry Howell and Ray Perkins.
Barbara is survived by daughter, Carol (Danny) Horsley; son, John (Deanna) Hayes; grandchildren, John Michael (Christy) Hildreth, Brandon Bonen, Matthew (Patricia) Horsley, Joseph (Ashley) Horsley, D’lainie (Joseph) Tate, John Hayes Jr., Angel (Mike) Lawhun; sisters,Betty (Elven) Shade and Virginia Goin; 21 great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and her special fur babies that she loved dearly.
Bobbie had worked with Baja Boats for over 20 years. She enjoyed bowling for a number of years and would even do league play. She loved to tend to her garden and bake when she got the chance as well as spending time with family and the grandkids. She was proud to overcome cancer and become a survivor. Bobbie also had a habit of collecting knick knacks, she enjoyed thrift shopping and finding little treasures.
Friends are welcome to join the family Thursday August 17, at Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home from 5-7 PM for memorial visiting hours.
