Arlene P. (Allard) Spears

Biography: Arlene P. (Allard) Spears, 85 of Bucyrus passed away on Saturday July 23, 2022 at Altercare of Bucyrus following a 1 year illness.  Arlene was born September 3, 1936 in Montague, Mass. to the late Adrian and Florence (Marlowe) Allard.  She was married July 2, 1983 to Raymond Spears who preceded her in death on March 13, 2022.  She was also preceded in death by sister Penny Jordan; brother-in-laws Herb and Jim Spears; step son Michael Spears; sister in law Carolyn Spears; and grand daughter Samantha Clinard. 

Arlene is survived by daughters Sharon (Craig) Petty of Bucyrus and Susan (Scott) Elliott of Upper Sandusky; step children Greg Spears, Teresa Hensley, and Renea (Mark) Clinard all of Bucyrus; grandchildren Matthew McReynolds of Florida, David McReynolds, Dylan (Carolyn) Petty of Maineville, Laci (Matt) Balster of Columbus, Rachael Spears of Bucyrus, Tyler(Tony) Spears of Wapakoneta, Travis Spears of Bucyrus, Leah (Jonathan) Hinderer of Columbus, Dereck Hensley of Bucyrus and Cortney DeJean of Bucyrus; 7 great grandchildren; brother Eugene (Arlene) Allard of Enfield, CT; and brother-in-laws Johnny Spears and Benny (Cathy) Spears. 

Arlene was a nurse at Bucyrus Community Hospital for 32 years.  She loved to go to flea markets and trips to the lake with Ray.  Arlene was also an artist and enjoyed gardening but most of all she loved being with her grandchildren. 
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday at 2:00 pm in the Oakwood Cemetery with Bishop Ted Thomas officiating.  Memorials may be made to the Crawford County Humane Society and the staff of the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
