Biography: Anna Marie Spaide, 60 of Bucyrus passed away on Wednesday July 13, 2016 at Akron General Hospital. Anna was born March 21, 1956 in Bucyrus to the late Ralph Shelt and Virginia (Beattie) Shelt who survives. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a stillborn infant, brother Leslie Cleo Shelt and sister in law Mary Shelt.
Anna is also survived by husband Robert A. Spaide, they were married Sept. 11, 1976; children Heather (David) Freed, Shelby; Shawn (Tanna) Spaide, Tiffin; Laura Spaide of Bucyrus; and brother Raymond Shelt of Bucyrus.
Anna graduated from Bucyrus High School in 1974 and lived her entire life in the community. She worked at the former K-Mart, Pamida in Galion, Wal Mart in Bucyrus and for 9 years at BPT. She also spent time doing lawn care work. Anna was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy and for over 20 years was a Girl Scout Leader. She volunteered for the Red Cross and REACT.
Anna enjoyed traveling and going to the lakes and the Amish Country. She loved Racoon’s and enjoyed all holidays, especially Christmas and Thanksgiving. Anna was a very proud Mom of a U.S. Marine.
The family will receive friends at the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home on Sunday from 1-4 pm. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 in the Funeral Home with burial to follow in Brokensword Cemetery.
