Biography: Amelia J. Hyden, 86 of Signature Care in Galion went to hear the Angels and choir sing on Wednesday January 15, 2020. Amelia was hearing impaired since she was a baby but loved music and was self sufficient living and working until her retirement. Born December 19, 1933 in Beckley, WV, one of ten children, she was the daughter of the late Louie and Dora (Rose) Hyden. Amelia moved from Bucyrus 50 years ago to live in California with her brother and following his death moved to Florida with another brother. She returned to Bucyrus, living at Fairview Manor until it closed at which time she moved to Signature Care in Galion. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers Jack, Jim, Clifford, John Frank, Leonard, and Ronald, who all served in the Military.
Amelia is survived by her sister Sarah Zornes of Bucyrus; brother Donald Hyden of Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews that include Terry Zornes, Shirley Erickson, Penny Hlavati, Diane Tindall, Brenda Cronin, Greg Zornes, and Kenneth Zornes.
The family will receive friends at the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home on Tuesday beginning at 1:00 pm with services to begin at 2:00 pm, burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.
