S. Leon Perdue, 91 of Bucyrus died Thursday Morning in Altercare of Bucyrus. He had been ill the past 3 weeks. He was born September 6, 1918 in Portland TN to Seaton and Bertha (Rippy) Perdue, both deceased. On December 28, 1940 he married Jewel D. Jones who died February 19, 2003. Also preceding him in death are Brothers Grady and Arthur Perdue, Half Brothers William and Tom McReynolds, and Sister Ruby Hunter. Surviving are children Betty Hill, Sandy (Rev Dave) Tuttle, both of Bucyrus, Don (Cheryl) Perdue of Oceola, and Vicky (Pastor Ted) Thomas of Bucyrus, Daughter in Law Cheryl (Gary) Kaple of Port Clinton, OH Grandchildren, Lanny Hill, Lysle (Kathy) Hill, Craig Tuttle, Tracy Wilson, Ritchie (Buffy) Tuttle, Scott (Jen) Perdue, April (John) Powell, Jay (Amy) Thomas, Shawn (Chris) Thomas, LaGonda (Ryan) Thomas, 23 Great Grandchildren, and 4 Great Great Grandchildren.

Leon was retired from Shunk Manufacturing Co, and then operated Leon Perdue Roofing. He came to the community in 1944 and attended Full Gospel Lighthouse Church, and New Day Ministries, and enjoyed hunting and fishing, sports, especially ones his Grandchildren were in.
Friends may call Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 at Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home where services will be held Monday at 10 AM. Pastor Joe Lemasters and Pastor Ted Thomas will officiate. Burial will follow in Brokensword Cemetery.
