Robert E. "Ziggy" Zeigler 59 of Bucyrus died Thursday evening at his home following a long illness. He was born November 7, 1950 in Bucyrus to Robert Eugene and Edna (Quaintance) Zeigler, both deceased. On July 3, 1970 he married Susan Groves who survives.

Also surviving are children Shawn Michael Zeigler and Kyle Brett (Miki) Zeigler both of Bucyrus, Bobbie June (Darrin Feichtner) Zeigler of Bloomville, Grandchildren Keely, Meghan, and Austin, Brothers Jim (Mary) Zeigler, Rick Zeigler, Bill (Dawn) Zeigler all of Bucyrus, and Sister Pattie Zeigler of Columbus.

He attended area schools, was a Veteran of the U.S.Army, and was a Lathe Operator at Ryder-Heyl Bronze Co for 21 years, and  former member of the VFW and American Legion.

"Ziggy" loved music and played guitar for several area bands.
