Rosie R. Heffelfinger, 65, of Bucyrus died Sunday morning June 27, 2010 in Heartland of Bucyrus from an extended illness. She was born July 5, 1944 in Marengo, Ohio and was the daughter of the late Robert Wells and Mildred (Young) Wells O'Brien. Rosie is survived by three daughters; Jeanmarie Holman of Marion, Julia Heffelfinger of Galion, Janel Yeater of Bucyrus,
4 Grandchildren; Amber, Nichelle and Gena Kephart, Riley Yeater, 5 great grandchildren and two sisters Edna "Peg" Moll and Janet "Mary" Lantz both of Nevada.

She is preceded in death by her father Robert Wells, her mother Mildred O'Brien and step-father Oscar O'Brien, a child Starlena Heffelfinger, her ex-husband Gene Heffelfinger, life partner Ralph Lohr and a sister Shelby Wells.

An area resident her entire life, she was a 1962 graduate of Nevada school. Rosie was a mother to everyone and liked to help everybody. She was active with Relay for Life and participated in the survivor's walk for the past several years and was a long time member of New Day Ministries.

Following her wishes, there will be no services and will be cremated. She would have wanted any memorial contribution to be made to Relay for Life, Hospice or St. Jude's Childrens Hospital. The Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home in care of arrangements. Online condolences may be made at munzpirnstill.com.
