Neil A. Belcher, 45 yrs. of age, of 400 Dudley St., Bucyrus died early Saturday morning from injuries sustained in a single car accident. Neil was born in Bucyrus on March 12, 1965 to Johnny and Barbara (Lewis) Belcher of Bucyrus. He was married on Sept. 27, 1995 to Diane (Metzger) Belcher who survives. Neil was preceded in death by niece Danielle Lynn Belcher-Higginbotham; paternal grandparents Winford and Lillian Belcher; maternal grandparents Larence and Ella Lewis; and father in law Norman Metzger.
In addition to Neil's parents and wife, he is survived by daughters Shena and Kelsey , both of Bucyrus; grandchildren Aden Biederman and Lillian Lynn Faith Malone; sister Vicki (Jim) Ruttmann, Bucyrus; nieces and nephews Gabe and Brody Higginbotham, Bucyrus and Sydney Blake, Scott Ruttmann and Samantha Ruttman, of Upper Sandusky; mother in law Helen Metzger Zeiter of Lykens; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Neil had worked for many years at both Checkmate and Baja Marine. He lived his entire life in the community and was a Bucyrus High School graduate in 1983. Neil enjoyed hunting, spending time with his family, working on cars, driving, and was committed to the word of God.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednseday at 11:00 am in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with Rev. William Strader officiating, burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday where the family will receive friends from 4-7 pm. The family suggests memorials be made to the donors choice through the funeral home.
