Marjorie E. Hanlon, 71 yrs. of age, of 145 Wallace Ave., Bucyrus died on Wednesday afternoon at Bucyrus Community Hospital. Mrs. Hanlon was born March 31, 1938 in Bucyrus to the late Frederick and Nellie F. (Vaughn) Solze. She was married Sept. 8, 1963 to Donald E. Hanlon who survives. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 3 sisters; Norma Markley, Vera Jones, and Bonnie Solze, as well as one brother James Solze, and son in law Robert Johnson.
Mrs. Hanlon is also survived by 2 daughters; Denise Johnson of Galion and Robin (Donald) Dunford, Bucyrus; and 2 grandchildren Justin and Trenton Dunford who were the love of her life.
Mrs. Hanlon had worked at Timken and ITT and most recently at Geyers Bakery. For many years Marjorie baked in her home for numerous loyal customers. She lived her entire life in Bucyrus and was a Bucyrus High School Graduate in 1956. She was a lifelong member of Kaler Ave. Church of Christ in Christian Union, was a member of the Mansfield Deaf Club for many years, enjoyed crafts and knitting, as well as attending all of her grandsons sporting events.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 am in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Jividen officiating, burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday where the family will receive friends from 5-8 pm. The family suggests memorials be made to the Kidney Foundation or the Am.
