Mabel Isabel Feik, 93 of Bucyrus died Monday at Heartland. She was born November 16, 1915 to Charles R and Dora M (Swartz) Schulze, both deceased. On December 9, 1935 she married Russell M. Feik in Crestline Ohio. Russell died February 9, 1969.

Her education started in a one room red brick school house at king and McCurdy Roads, then to Bash School on Bethel Road. She attended Holmes-Liberty School, and graduated Class of 1933 from Sulphur Springs High School where she played Girls Basketball. Mabel was a House Parent at the Children's Home in Galion from September of 1971 to December of 1975. She was then a Nurses Aide at Fairview Manor from April of 1976 to May of 1977 when she retired and became a live-in companion for several families. She moved to Florida in 1979 and returned in 1990. She was also a member of St John's United Church of christ where she taught Sunday School.

Other pursuits included serving as a Gray Lady at Bucyrus Community Hospital, and work with Crawford County Contact, and known as "Aunt Mabel" a daily visitor to "Joy In The Morning" on WBCO Radio.

Mabel is survived by Daughters Rosemary Weyand of Upper Sandusky OH, Beverly (Jim) Martin of Bucyrus, Emma Lee Neidermier of Brandon MS, and Patrica Feik of Westerville, 7 Grandchildren, 12 Great Grandchildren, 2 Great Great Grandchildren, and Sister Mary Esther Hart of Vero Beach FL. Along with Parents and Husband she was preceded in death by Sons-in-Law George Weyand, and Jack Neidermier, Grand Daughter Cynthia Louise Scott, Brother Richard Schulze, Sisters Dorothy Schulze, and Lois Beard.

Friends may call Wednesday from 7-9PM at the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home . Funeral Services will be held Thursday at 11AM in St John's United Church of Christ with Rev Steven Voelker officiating.
