Milleard Junior Bedson, 83 yrs. of age, of 1020 Maple St., Bucyrus died early Wednesday morning at Bucyrus Community Hospital, his death was unexpected. Mr. Bedson was born on Oct. 26, 1926 in Bucyrus to the late Milleard Sr. and Viola (Frost) Bedson. He was married July 1, 1972 to Barbara Ruth (Smith) Bedson who survives.
In addition to Junior's wife, he is survived by daughters Sandra Kime, Galion; Paula Busler of Iberia; 4 grandchildren; sisters Dorothy (Bill) Montgomery, Galion; Janet Jolly; Brother in laws Allen (Christine) Smith, Bucyrus; David (Rhonda) Smith, Bucyrus; sister in law Carol (Dean) Hoppe, Westerville; special nieces and nephews David Smith; Kristy Agin; Adam Wolfe; Erin Wolfe; numerous other nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews; as well as his pet dog Hunter.
Mr. Bedson retired from Galion Dresser in 1990 after 40 years. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving on the U.S.S. Sibley. During his service to this country he received the Victory Medal, American Area Campaign Medal and the Asiatic Pacific Area Campaign Medal. He was a member of the American Legion Post 181, Bucyrus.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 11:30 am in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with Rev. Don Neumann officiating, burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday where the family will receive friends from 2-5 pm The American Legion Post 181 will be providing Military Services. Contributions can be made to the Am.
