He was born October 23, 1938 in Bucyrus and was the son of the late William and Lucille (Shaw) Robinson. Jim is also preceded in death by a niece Tina Dewiel. Robbie is survived three children; son Doug Robinson and wife Mary of Jacksonville, Fla. and his mom Gloria Spell of Richmond Hill, GA., son Tyson Robinson and wife Shannon of Bucyrus and his mom Carolyn Vincent of Bucyrus, son Brandon Robinson and his mom Zelma Candel of Bucyrus and her children Jason Candel & Heather Swinehart and her child Ayden. He is also survived by two grandchildren Zachary and Corey, a brother Charles “Butch” Robinson, a sister Judith Shope and husband Donald of Marion and his dog “Buddy”. Robbie attended Bucyrus schools, served in the U.S. Navy, worked at the former Swan Rubber, sold Prudential Insurance, managed the VFW #1078 in Bucyrus and owned the former North End Tavern and bought the former bar called The Rail and renamed it Robbie's. For the past several years, he worked for Walmart in Upper Sandusky. His memberships included the American Legion Post #181, VFW Post #1078, Amvets Post #27 and the Loyal Order of Moose #669 all of Bucyrus. Calling hours will be Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home. Following his wishes, he will be cremated.
