Hazel Marie Wurm Ziegler, 94 yrs. of age, of 3891 King Rd., Bucyrus died on Sunday morning peacefully at home. Her death was unexpected. Hazel Marie was born on July 25, 1915 to Everett and Fredricka (Lehman) Bigler in Powhatan Point, Ohio (Monroe County). She moved to Bucyrus with her family when she was 11 years old. Her family made and sold cheese, and this is how she met her first husband. Albert B. Wurm and Hazel were married on August 2, 1933 at St. Stephens Church in Seneca Co. Albert died on July 3, 1956, they had 9 children together. On October 1, 1966 Hazel married Marion H. "Bob" Ziegler at Holy Trinity Church in Bucyrus and he preceded her in death on Dec. 26, 2000.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by 3 grandchildren; Gary Haldeman, Jimmy Wurm, and Matthew Thomas Burling; great grandchildren Clay (Wurm) Stewart and Timothy Frizzell; great great grandchild Shyanne Wyss; sisters Luberta Kocher, Martha Schnegg, Frieda Kocher, and Florence Isaly; as well as one brother Roy Bigler.

Mrs. Ziegler worked for several years with her husband at Wurm's Restuarant as a cook. Following her work with her husband she continued to cook at other area restuarants, and ultimately retired from Foodtown Deli after 10 yrs. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and for several years cooked food for the Holy Trinity Bingo. She was an avid Cleveland Indians Fan. She looked forward to seeing her friends at Rehab every Tuesday and Thursday in Marion. Most importantly she loved her family.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 11:00 am in Holy Trinity Catholic Church with Father Ron LeJeune as Celebrant and Father Frederick Schill as Con-Celebrant. Burial will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery. Friends may call at the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home on Thursday where the family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Rosary will be recited on Thursday evening at 7:45pm. Memorials may be given to Holy Trinity School Endowment and online expressions of sympathy can be left at munzpirnstill.com.
